AL FAATIHAH (OPENING)

LETTER 1 = 7 Verses

CHAPTER 1

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ١ 

1. Bismi allaahi alrrahmaani alrrahiimi.

1. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. [1]

1. அனைத்துப்புகழும்,அகிலங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் படைத்து வளர்த்துப் பரிபக்குவப்படுத்தும் (நாயனான) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே ஆகும்.

[1] Meaning : I began to read this al-Fatihah in the name of Allah. Every good job, should begin by mentioning Allah's asthma, such as eating, drinking, slaughtering animals and so on. Allah is the name of the Most Holy, the right to be worshiped with truth, who does not need His creatures, but beings who need Him. Ar Rahmaan (Most Gracious): one of the names of Allah that gives the understanding that Allah bestows His gift on His creatures, while ar Rahiim (the Most Merciful) gives the understanding that Allah is always merciful which causes Him to always bestow His mercy on beings His.

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٢ 

2. Alhamdu lillaahi rabbi al’aalamiina.

2. All praise [2] is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds [3].

2. Louange à Allah, Seigneur de l´univers.

2. سب خوبیاں اللہ کو جو مالک سارے جہان والوں کا،

2. (அவன்) அளவற்ற அருளாளன், நிகரற்ற அன்புடையோன்.

[2] Alhamdu (praise). Praising people is because of their good deeds done by their own accord. Then praise God for merati: praise Him for His good deeds. It's different with gratitude which means: recognizing someone's virtue for the favors it provides. We confront all praise to God is because God is the source of all good that is praiseworthy.

[3] Rabb (God) means: God who is obeyed who owns, educates and nurtures. Rabb's pronunciation cannot be used except for God, unless there is a connection, such as rabbul bait (host). 'Alamiin (universe): everything that God created consists of various types and kinds, such as: human nature, animal nature, plant nature, inanimate objects and so on. ALlah is the creator of all those realms.

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٣ 

3. Alrrahmaani alrrahiimi.

3. The Beneficent, the Merciful.

3. (Bu dünyada hamıya) mərhəmətli, (axirətdə isə ancaq mö´minlərə) rəhmli olana,

مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ ٤ 

4. Maaliki yawmi alddiini.

4. Master [4] of the Day of Judgment.[5]

4. (இறைவா!) உன்னையே நாங்கள் வணங்குகிறோம், உன்னிடமே நாங்கள் உதவியும் தேடுகிறோம்.

[4] Maalik (Who controls) by lengthening mim, he means: owner. It can also be read with Malik (by shortening mim), meaning: King.

[5] Yaumiddin (Judgment Day): the day at which each human being receives retribution from good and bad deeds. Yaumiddin is also called yaumulqiyaamah, yaumulhisaab, yaumuljazaa 'and so on.

إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ ٥ 

5. Iyyaaka na’budu wa-iyyaaka nasta’iinu.

5. Thee do we serve [6] and Thee do we beseech for help.[7]

5. Biz yalnız Sənə ibadət edirik və yalnız Səndən kömək diləyirik!

5. C´est Toi [Seul] que nous adorons, et c´est Toi [Seul] dont nous implorons secours.

5. Dir (allein) dienen wir, und Dich (allein) bitten wir um Hilfe.

5. Hanya Engkaulah yang kami sembah, dan hanya kepada Engkaulah kami meminta pertolongan

5. ہم تجھی کو پوجیں اور تجھی سے مدد چاہیں،

5. நீ எங்களை நேர் வழியில் நடத்துவாயாக!

[6] Na'budu is derived from the word 'ibaadat: obedience and submission caused by the feeling of the greatness of God, as a worshiped God, because he believes that God has absolute power over him.

[7] Nasta'iin (asking for help), taken from the word isti'aanah: expecting help to be able to complete a work that is not capable of being done alone

 ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ ٦ 

6. Ihdinaa alshshiraatha almustaqiima.

6. Keep us [8]  on the right path.

6. ہم کو سیدھا راستہ چلا،

6. (அது) நீ எவர்களுக்கு அருள் புரிந்தாயோ அவ்வழி.

[8] Ihdina (show us), from the word hidayaat: give instructions to the right path. What is meant by this verse is not just giving guidance, but also giving guidance.

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٧ 

7. Shiraatha alladziina an’amta ‘alayhim ghayri almaghdhuubi ‘alayhim walaa aldhdhaalliina.

7. The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray.[9]

7. Ne´mət verdiyin kəslərin yoluna! Qəzəbə düçar olmuşların və (haqdan) azmışların (yoluna) yox!

Traduction française :

7. le chemin de ceux que Tu as comblés de faveurs, non pas de ceux qui ont encouru Ta colère, ni des égarés

Deutsche Übersetzung :

7. den Weg derer, denen Du Gnade erwiesen hast, nicht (den Weg) derer, die(Deinen) Zorn erregt haben, und nicht (den Weg) der Irregehenden.

Bahasa Indonesia :

7. (yaitu) Jalan orang-orang yang telah Engkau beri nikmat kepada mereka; bukan (jalan) mereka yang dimurkai dan bukan (pula jalan) mereka yang sesat

Traduzione italiana :

7. la via di coloro che hai colmato di grazia , non di coloro che [sono incorsi] nella [Tua] ira , né degli sviati. Nella recitazione liturgica si aggiunge : "Amin".

한국어 번역 :

7. 그 길은 당신께서 축복을 내리신 길이며 노여움을 받은 자나방황하는 자들이 걷지않는 가장 올바른 길이옵니다

ترجمه فارسی :

7. راه کسانی که آنان را مشمول نعمت خود ساختی؛ نه کسانی که بر آنان غضب کردهای؛ و نه گمراهان.

اردو ترجمہ :

7. راستہ ان کا جن پر تو نے احسان کیا، نہ ان کا جن پر غضب ہوا اور نہ بہکے ہوؤں کا

Английский перевод :

7. нe тex, кoтopыe нaxoдятcя пoд гнeвoм, и нe зaблyдшиx.

தமிழ் மொழிபெயர்ப்பு :

7. (அது) உன் கோபத்துக்கு ஆளானோர் வழியுமல்ல, நெறி தவறியோர் வழியுமல்ல.

[9] What is meant by those who are wrath and those who are heretical are all groups who deviate from the teachings of Islam
